Fundraising Ideas for Daycare

Fundraising Ideas for Daycare

For many people with children, staying home with their child just isn’t feasible, given the economy and lack of childcare resources. Not only that, but family and friends are often unable or unwilling to help. For this reason, daycare is a crucial part of our society, which makes it all the more heartbreaking that, oftentimes, our daycares are in need of financial assistance. Not everyone is aware of this (I certainly wasn’t until just recently!), so getting the word out about funding can be a tricky task. So, you might be asking yourself, what can you do to help? Well, aside from donating directly to the daycare in question, a good way to create revenue is to hold a fundraiser! Some fundraisers are more, well, fun than others, and given that daycare centers around children, it’s a smart idea to keep the planning child-friendly and simple.

Here are just three ideas that are sure to make your next daycare fundraiser a hit!

  1. Raffle ticket sales!

Lootboxes in videogames are popular for a reason! A good number of people love a good mystery, especially when the money goes to a good cause. The prizes can be cheap too, since most of the joy comes from just winning Dollar store teddy bears, new pots and pans, cakes and pies, the possibilities for prizes are endless!
  2. Car washes!

Everyone needs to get their car cleaned now and then, especially if they have children. What better way to remind people to keep their vehicles nice and tidy than a good cause? The feeling of helping out will make their souls feel almost as clean as their cars!
  3. Cookie dough sales!

We saved our favorite for last! Otis Spunkmeyer cookie dough has been helping out fundraisers for years with scrumptious cookie dough. Everyone loves a good treat, no matter the age or the income level. Cookies are a part of our fondest memories, our pick-me-up on days that just don’t seem to stop getting worse, our celebrations with friends and family, and, of course, a fantastic way to raise money for a service that often goes underappreciated. Show your love for your local daycare with a tub of sweet, delicious cookie dough (and don’t forget the milk!)
